THEY are Australia’s starlets of summer sport who know how to turn heads on and off the sand. Glammed-up ironwomen Candice Falzon, Tara Coleman and Courtney Hancock performed for the cameras yesterday, but this summer they will be competing against each other around the country as part of the professional ironwoman series.
While all three were born in NSW, only one stayed south of the Queensland border to prepare for the upcoming surf life saving series.
“I wanted to stay here to pay back all the support I have got from my surf club Manly in recent years,” said Falzon, who broke through for her first win on the professional circuit last season after a decade of trying.
The Ironwoman Series kicks off in Perth on 23 December with coverage on Channel 10. Stay up to date on all the latest event info at www.surfironmanseries.com.
